With 28 years at Rubin and Rudman, McGivney shares insights into his journey as a litigator, emphasizing the importance of courtroom advocacy and the satisfaction of securing meaningful outcomes for clients. He has been instrumental in shaping legal precedents and has secured over $150 million in verdicts, judgments, and settlements.
As Managing Partner, McGivney has overseen significant transformations within the firm, including the expansion of its practice areas and a continued commitment to diversity and inclusion. Under his leadership, Rubin and Rudman has grown to over 100 attorneys and is now ranked among the 25 largest law firms in Massachusetts. Notably, the firm has achieved a milestone with women comprising 50% of practice group leaders and 40% of partners.

But don’t be afraid, it happens to every lawyer at some point, and then you’ll realize that a stopped escalator is a very sturdy staircase. You just need to put in the effort to keep climbing.”
